He has worked with artists including Kate Bush, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, The Police, Eurythmics, Cliff Richard, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Rolling Stones, Genesis, Gary Moore and many others. He works from his recording studio at The Tower Studios in the Alperton, London, as well as at his own studio in London. Career As a boy, Jelks became fascinated by music as he listened to Radio 2's Johnnie Walker show on the way to school. At school, his favourite school trip was to a Festival Of Britain event at Wandsworth in south-west London, where he met Pink Floyd. He also worked at the London studio for the BBC's many pop music shows, including Bandstand and Top of the Pops. In 1967, Jelks moved to London and became a producer and sound engineer for the BBC. He worked with the likes of Alan Price, Cliff Richard, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush and Duran Duran, as well as working on various projects at The Ealing Studios. He helped produce I Will Be Your Friend by The Police and other tracks by The Police. He is credited on the track 'Walking In Your Footsteps' from The Police's 1978 album Outlandos d'Amour, and on 1990's Grace Under Pressure album, as well as on the Pink
